I miss my hair

Reflecting now on this 2nd year of CCS I feel like me and my class have all grown a lot. I know I am changing and growing as a person. My social skills have progressed a lot since my first semesters here I know that for sure. An aspect of this year I am most happy and thankful for is all the new friends and acquaintances I have made in this time. It just makes my experience here so much better to be able to interact with such great people I can relate to and make jokes with. Of course theres still a lot of stupid people but at least we can laugh about it.
Also I feel like my teachers this year have been a lot better and easy to relate to than last year. Eugene for one is someone who really won me over. Eugene was my reviewer for my first year here and he was brutally honest and up front with me and really made me think all summer about what the hell I was doing. Looking back I really did not have my shit together and the words he said "Your hearts not in this" haunted me all summer long making me at first really pissed off but then driving me to prove myself. I really thought Eugene was the biggest douche, but when i got in his class it was a totally different story. Not only a great teacher but a great guy I felt that I learned a great deal and really did prove to myself that I deserve to be at CCS. Even more this past semester I feel like Erik Olsons painting class really has helped me and also all my classmates. We all in some way grew and took something from the experience.
I now look forward to my next few years here I want to go for broke and be an animal and also crank some things out.

Back to the old drawing board. Breaks done and i've been doing nothing but painting. I had an alright break mainly hung out with my chum Mathew. Didn't see Angie at all (for shame Angie, for shame), and I hung out with a lot of people I hadnt seen in a long time like Marius and Chris and it was pretty kool. Oh and Disfits practiced once. Also I had my birthday, I am 20 years old now (woo~) dunno how I feel about all that. The day itself wasn't too bad, I rocked out to rick astley. Besides that, I had dinner with my family at Buddies, and bought hoodies and smash brother brawl. Not a whole lot going on, I'm just tired.

What ive been working on.

Ive been drawing like a mad man lately. I got one big picture I'm working on right now from an idea I had just sitting around in a drawing I did.


This is the first drawing I did sitting around which everyone has seen. Matt dubbed it "two piece" cuz of its similarities to the series "one piece" lol It was a direct inspiration actually. I was just trying to draw a guy stylized and different from how I normally do it and strangely and surprisingly everyone says it looks like me! haha I can kinda see it but not really.

Well, I skipped eriks class today, came in late and got the greatest parking spot ever. Got done with digital fundamentals came home found out my dad opened my letter from jim bruer. Nothing really bad happend we ended up jokin around. Thats pretty much my daay. Im just really psyched for the upcoming watchmen movie. I need to own the graphic novel as soon as possible.

Its pretty much break now so go celebrate

Im going to draw mad max tonight and possibly watch T2

Wow talk about a suprise. I went to bed totally expecting to just skip my first class. I slept in till noon, after being called constantly by my parents to find out if I had class. I called matt to see if he went and I hear some great news.

Finally done. All while watching the Sarah Connor chronicles.
That show is fucking awesome by the way. If you are a fan of terminator this is the show for you.
Suck though because of the writers strike the season was drastically cut short and tonight was the final episode. REGARDLESS. I love that show it actually takes the terminator franchise seriously again. After that abortion that was RISE OF THE MACHINES, it feels good to be feeling like im watching a real continuation of my beloved Terminator 2

Day 1 of final week is OVER. Soon I will be on my vacation and at last I will destroy the Jedi and bring about the rise of the sit-....oh. where was I?

Ack, I have two blogs now! My eyebrows really hurt right now cuz I tried to pretty myself up. They look alright though at least.

Besides that whole jazz, listen here. This is my final week before the long fucking awaited and deserved spring break. After two long freezing months of constant back breaking work, we at the prestigious (Eugenes favorite word) College for Creative Studies! get to finally sleep.

Anyway, I painted a prehistoric giant frog yesterday on correl painter and Im really proud of it so check it out. The image has a bleed so parts of it are meant to be cut off in the final so thats why theres the choppy edge. Its not meant to be seen!




besides the art stuff, Ive been listening to a lot of different music lately. Mainly happy, upbeat dance music, rhythm driven schtuff. Also getting into the band Japan a lot. I really love the lead singers voice and all the arrangements are really different and fresh to me aside from the fact that they broke up over 20 years ago.
